When I wrote my invitation to my actual “chat group” to check out my latest post re the Vatican’s most recent Inquisitorial upgrade – the invite ended up being so substantial, I’m going to post it also, so you’re getting a 2 for 1 this time! The invitation: At this point I am reduced to pleading with anyone capable of somehow pressuring the Vatican – whose newly refurbished Inquisition is addressed in the latest post on www.mamaleh-larisa.com under “current updates” – to, rather than shut down their mailbox in my face, even as they were receiving my e-mail, according to the “returned mail” report – instead, turn a deaf ear to the 18 U.S. bishops who seem to be the only ones in the Catholic camp still vociferously advocating the policy of raping the faithful whom the Church is, rather, charged with succoring, a policy the Vatican has aggressively pursued at least since Herbert Schwartz arrived on the scene to challenge such tactics within the western Church. What hold, I beg someone to explain, does this faction have upon Catholicism? Even Pope John XXIII must have found himself powerless against it, since he knew Herbert when he was in Rome, but nevertheless must have been unable to have him ordained a priest, as proposed by Herbert’s Mexican bishop at the time, who later became a cardinal. Perhaps that is what motivated this holy Primate to call for the Vatican Council to be re-opened as Vatican II. I read that Met. Kyrill (presently the Moscow Patriarchial locum tenens, since the repose of Pat. Aleksi of blessed memory), who was an observer at the western Church Council, remarked at that time that it is wonderful to see what the Church can be when she is free – the Russian Church being then still under the domination of the atheistic Soviet regime. This promise was, however, nipped in the bud as regards the western Church, while today it is being realized within Orthodoxy, notably in the Russian Church, and, with the accession of Met. Jonah as primate of the Orthodox Church in America, we are seeing, here also, a back-to-basics return to the fundament of Christianity: “God dwelling in man, and man in God”, and this through “the deifying gift of the Holy Spirit, [that] being likened to Him by Him, our lives may be fulfilled in that radiant communion of love, which is nothing other than the Kingdom of God.” (Nativity 2008 message of Met. Jonah)

There’s got to be SOMEONE out there who can out-shout the 18 U.S. Catholic bishops and jolt Benedict into facing reality and acting on it. Or maybe someone in the Catholic Church could just persuade the present Pope to go quietly into retirement so they can elect someone like Jonah as my very dear friend, Met. Herman, did for the O.C.A. Will my word to the wise be sufficient this time also
