The Wedding in Cana

spirit

There was a wedding in Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, and Jesus and His disciples had also been invited. When they ran out of wine, since the wine provided for the wedding was all finished, Jesus' mother said to Jesus, "They have no more wine." "What is that to you and Me?" He answered. "My hour has not yet come."

But she said to the waiters, "Do whatever He tells you."

There were six water jars there. Jesus told the waiters to fill them to the brim with water.
When they had done this, He said, "Take some of it to the master of the feast."

When the master of the feast had tasted the water - which had turned into wine, although only the waiters knew where it had come from - he went to the bridegroom and said, "Everyone serves good wine first and keeps the less good to serve last. But you have kept the good wine until now."

This was Jesus first miracle; He let His glory be seen, and his disciples believed in him.
