Jesus was praying one day, and when He stopped, one of His followers asked him, "Lord, teach us to pray." "When you pray, do not think a lot of words are necessary," He told them.
"This should be your prayer:
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
"If you forgive others," Jesus said, "your heavenly Father will forgive you; if you do not forgive others, your Father will not forgive you either."
